UK Flights to Peshawar, Sialkot, Multan and Faisalabad
Which airlines fly from the UK to Peshawar, Sialkot, Multan and Faisalabad, how to choose between them and Lahore, and what to expect.
Smaller airports, one stop
Peshawar, Sialkot, Multan and Faisalabad all have international flights from the UK, but none has a non-stop service. Every route connects once, usually in Doha, Dubai, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain or Sharjah. Flying direct to the airport nearest your family often saves a long road journey from Islamabad or Lahore.
Peshawar
Peshawar is served by Qatar Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Etihad and Air Arabia. Bacha Khan International Airport is the main airport for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera and Swat. Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways are common choices.
Sialkot
Sialkot is served by Qatar Airways, Emirates, Gulf Air and Air Arabia. It is a convenient alternative to Lahore for families in Sialkot, Gujrat, Wazirabad and Gujranwala. Gulf Air is often good value to Sialkot.
Multan
Multan is served by Qatar Airways, Etihad, Gulf Air and Air Arabia. It serves South Punjab, including Bahawalpur, Khanewal and Vehari, and flights connect through Doha, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain or Sharjah.
Faisalabad
Faisalabad is served by Qatar Airways, Gulf Air and Air Arabia. Qatar Airways and Gulf Air connect through Doha and Bahrain. Faisalabad is also within road distance of Lahore, so compare fares to both.
Flying to the nearest airport or to Lahore
A flight into Sialkot, Multan or Faisalabad can cost a little more than Lahore or Islamabad, but it saves hours on the road with luggage, children and elderly relatives. Ask us to price both. Sometimes the difference is small and the saving in effort is large.
Flights to these airports have fewer departures than Lahore or Islamabad, so seats sell out early at Eid and in the summer. Book three to four months ahead for those dates.
Which hub is best for your city?
Qatar Airways, through Doha, serves all four cities, so it is the simplest option when you want a choice of departure times. Gulf Air, through Bahrain, serves Sialkot, Multan and Faisalabad. Etihad, through Abu Dhabi, serves Peshawar and Multan. Emirates, through Dubai, serves Peshawar and Sialkot. Turkish Airlines, through Istanbul, serves Peshawar. Check the connection time at the hub, as it can make a bigger difference to your day than the headline fare.
Planning the last leg
Flights into the smaller airports often arrive at night or very early in the morning. Arrange your pick-up in advance, share your flight number with the family and check the road journey to your town. If the arrival time is awkward, ask us to price a flight into Lahore or Islamabad instead, as a daytime arrival can be worth a small extra cost.
Baggage
Qatar Airways, Gulf Air and Turkish Airlines usually allow 40kg in economy, and Emirates 30kg to 35kg. Air Arabia depends on the fare. See the baggage guide. Request a quote and we will compare the options for your dates.
