Eid al-Fitr 2027 Flights from the UK to Pakistan
When to book Eid al-Fitr 2027 flights from the UK to Pakistan, expected dates, the most expensive days and how to avoid the peak.
Expected Eid al-Fitr 2027 dates
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, and Eid al-Fitr is expected around 9 or 10 March 2027. These are expected dates only. The exact days depend on the moon sighting, which can be announced a day apart in the UK, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, so plan a little flexibility into your return.
Fares for travel around Eid are driven by when families want to be in Pakistan, and that is fixed by the calendar. The sooner you decide your dates, the more choice you have.
Which days cost the most
The most expensive departures are usually the last few days of Ramadan and the days right before Eid. Return flights from Pakistan are busiest in the week after Eid, when most families head back to the UK together.
If you want to spend Eid with family, flying out in the first half of Ramadan is often cheaper than leaving at the last minute. Flying back a few days after the main rush also helps.
When to book
For Eid, book three to four months ahead. For March 2027, that means looking at fares in November and December 2026. Non-stop flights with PIA and British Airways fill first, and the airlines with 40kg baggage tend to sell out before the 30kg fares.
If you are not ready to buy, you can request a quote now and ask us to hold seats with a deposit. The hold time depends on the airline.
Choosing an airline for Eid
A non-stop flight with PIA from Manchester or London is the simplest option when airports are crowded. One-stop airlines such as Qatar Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Etihad and Gulf Air often have lower fares and more flight times, and they reach more cities.
At peak times a one-stop connection carries a higher risk of delays, so allow a connection of at least two hours.
Baggage and documents
Eid trips usually mean gifts and clothes, so check your allowance in the baggage guide and add extra baggage at booking. Check passports and NICOP or visa documents early, as renewals can take weeks.
Flying during Ramadan
Many travellers fly in the weeks before Eid while they are fasting. Airports are busy at night as well as by day, and some airlines offer special meals or iftar boxes on request. Ask when you book, as they cannot always be guaranteed. Check the departure and arrival times against sunset in the UK and Pakistan so you know when you can break your fast.
Pack light snacks and water for the airport, and keep medicines in your hand luggage.
How to avoid the Eid peak
If your job and school dates allow it, there are three ways to cut the price. Fly out in the first half of Ramadan and stay through Eid. Travel in the week before Ramadan starts, when fares are still low. Or fly back after the post-Eid rush rather than on the first day it ends.
Flying from a different UK airport can also help. Ask us to price Manchester, London, Birmingham and the Scottish airports side by side.
